Rycerz Jadwiżański (Queen Jadwiga's Knight)

Long ago, during a visit from the royal couple at the castle in Leśnica, a valiant dwarf became famous as an unbeatable duelist. The little knight was given his nickname from Queen Jadwiga herself. His family survived the reign of the Czechs, the Habsburg and Prussian lords of the castle – in fact, one of his descendants guards the former Piast stronghold to this very day. Beginning with the post-war renovation of the monument in Park Leśnicki, this talented dwarf also supervised the needed conversion work on the Center of Culture. You can go there to visit him on any Midsummer Eve or during the gaiety of a medieval fair!
