Wrocław summers can be sizzling – cobblestones are hot, the sun blazes down... and then suddenly – psssht! Surprise! That’s Zraszacz Wodny, the gnome proudly perched on a hydrant, delivering refreshing ambushes to unsuspecting passersby.

He means no harm – quite the opposite! Zraszacz is full of care, but his idea of "helping in the heat" involves a well-aimed splash to the ankles. Some jump, some giggle, but everyone walks away a little cooler and a lot happier.

Legend says he knows every hydrant in the city... and every tourist who dares get too close becomes his next soaked masterpiece.
