Dąbrek the First

In the lobby of primary school No. 1 at 78 Nowowiejska Street welcomes the student Dąbrek the First. This dwarf resides there day and night since the 65th anniversary of the school. On that day Dąbrek climbed up the wall to get a better view, and to listen to lectures of the school’s patron saint Maria Dąbrowska. The proverbial apple of the dwarf’s eye is Poseidon, the horse adopted by the alumni of the school. The dwarf participates in fundraisers for the care of Poseidon, collecting apples for him and even writing poems dedicated to him.
