Schodek

Krasnal Schodek is a story about six friends who met while studying in Wrocław in 2004. It's an ordinary story - and at the same time unique. A story of people, place and relationships that has stood the test of time. Marek, Krzysztof, Piotr, Adam, Łukasz, Maciek - Stairs on the Odra River, next to the University of Technology building, became our natural meeting point. This is where my student days began and ended.

Here we planned lectures, exercises, exams... And after studying - conversations, laughter and being together. Over time, this place became more than just a part of the city. It has become a symbol of friendship, community and mutual support.

STEP GROUP
This is how the Step Group was born - a name that reflects everything that is important to us. The steps were a meeting place, a common base and the first stage of many life paths.

Although each of us went our separate ways after graduation, one thing has not changed - the need for meetings and conversations. The friendship did not end with the diploma. She climbed the next step.

WHERE DOES THE IDEA FOR A DWARF come from?
After 20 years of friendship, the idea arose to leave something permanent behind. Something that will not be just a private souvenir, but will become part of the city. Wrocław's dwarves - a symbol of humor and history - became a natural inspiration. This is how Krasnal Schodek was born.

SYMBOLISM OF THE DWARF
It is not by accident that the dwarf Schodek is sitting on the stairs. The step symbolizes a stage of life and a shared journey. Each element is one of us – together creating a whole. The calm pose of the dwarf reminds us that real relationships do not need to be rushed

HOW THE DWARFS SCHODEK WAS CREATED
The project had been in my mind for several years. From sketches and conversations to the final sculpture. Each stage was another step – another step.

WHY DOES THE DWARF STAIR STAND RIGHT HERE
Because there are places to which you return. Because some steps have their own history.
