Unicefek

UNICEF, or the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund, is an international organisation operating under the auspices of the United Nations to protect the rights of children and provide them with decent living conditions, education and health care worldwide. Founded in 1946, its main initiator was the Polish physician, bacteriologist and diplomat Ludwik Rajchman. His vision of creating an international fund to help children after the Second World War became the foundation of UNICEF's work, which has been supporting the most needy children around the world for years.
